Position Assembler language developer
Candidate will be joining a newly forming team working on modernizing old mission critical products which assure operation of hundreds of installations worldwide
Job Summary and Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, testing and deploying software solutions
- Providing analysis and solutions of reported problems
Expected skills
Level-1 applicants would be familiar with some or all of the following skillset:

- Familiarity with traversing system control blocks
- Re-entrant coding techniques
- Experience of using authorized assembler services
- Experience of writing recovery routines
- Exposure to structured programming macros
- 64-bit programming
- Source management products (git desirable)
- Any system’s programming experience desirable
Level-2 applicants may have experience with advanced skills like:
- Cross-memory services including PC routines and SRBs
- Secure engineering methodology
- Serialization techniques (Enqueue, Latch, Setlock, PLO and CS)
- Advanced recovery (FRRs and ARRs)
Mainframe development experience preferred, including
- QSAM, VSAM and BPAM I/O
- Exposure to IPCS
- Calling ISPF services from assembler
- REXX programming
- Experience of using sysplex services
- SMP/E packaging concepts
- Advanced debugging (IPCS and z/XDC desirable)
Software
Familiarity with zOS platform is a desired bonus

- Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Languages
Optional : C++, MetalC, Java, Rexx
Communication : English is a must
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in CS or related discipline or a combination of education and experience
